Measure the diagonal sweep. A swivel chair can hit a wall with a front corner even when the listed chair width looks narrow enough.
Check under-table space. Desk aprons, drawers, table legs, and island overhangs can reduce the pullback space that feels available.

Why You Must Plan for Chair Movement
