Queen sofa bed mattress measures 60 by 72 inches, full sofa bed mattress 52 by 72 inches, and twin sofa bed mattress 35 by 72 inches. Full sleeper sofa is around 47.2 inches wide, queen around 60 inches wide. Some mattress sizes are a bit odd, for instance 41 inches wide and 68 inches long, betwen twin and full.

Queen sleeper sofa usually measures 64 to 96 inches wide and 58 to 62 inches deep when used as sofa. For instance one queen model, open, is 80 inches wide by 86 inches deep by 37 inches high with queen mattress of 60 by 72 inches. There is range between brands and models.
Sleeper sofas of 87 to 100 inches long work for three folks seating or sleeping. Under 85 inches is hard to find.
Full or queen sofa beds give more space for two people while staying practical. King sofa beds give maximum sleep space, but require much area, so they are best for big rooms or guest rooms. For converting office or little room into guest space, twin or full sofa bed usually works better than king.
Twin is really small. If you use it every night, even in tiny place, take full sleeper. Adult finds twin too narrow for everyday use, but full can serve two in a pinch.
