Small print sizes in standard inch dimensions are best for desk display, while large print sizes in standard inch dimensions are best for displaying on livivng room walls.

If you are in Europe, the standard size for frames use the metric system. Metric size for frames will align with the European paper standards. Determine whether your print size is in inch measurements or metric measurements for your frame selection.

The material used to make the frame will determine the weight of the frame. The weight of the frame will determine how it will be hang on the wall. For frames made of wood, different wood size will have different weights.

For example, a frame made of aluminum will have a different weight than a frame made of pine. For very large prints and frames, you should of consider the weight of the frame. Large frames will be heavy and may require more sturdily hanging hardware.

Small frames may only require a simple hanging hardware to display the print on the wall. The glazing for the print can range from glass to acrylic and anti-reflective glazing. For very large prints, acrylic glazing is lighter than glass.

Anti-reflective glazing is good if you want to reduce the glare from light in the room. UV-protective glazing will protect your prints from sunlight damage. If you are creating a gallery wall using multiple frame for your prints, the frames should be two to three inches apart.

You should also consider the height of the frames when hanging on the wall. Most people will choose to hang their frames to be fifty-seven inches from the floor when viewed from eye level. By measuring your print and determining its size, selecting the correct frame size for your print, and choosing the appropriate mounting hardware for your frame, you can ensure that the frame for your print and the print is compatible.
