Materials

The handle consists of 64% polyester and 36% cotton, polyester / viscose fiber and non-woven polypropylene while the cover is of similar material combination, consisting of non-woven propylene, 64% polyester, 36% cotton an polyamide. The zipper is made of 100% polyamide.

The cover of the mattress is removable and thus can and should be washed in the washing machine. However, you should not tumble dry it, dry clean it, bleach it or iron it. An extra protective cover also comes with the IKEA Holmsbu mattress. It has durable handles that make the moving process easier. Once the mattress is in place, all you have to do is unzip the protective cover and take it off.

How it feels

The combination of three spring layers and three foam layers makes for a very thick and comfortable, medium firm mattress that comes in white color. The spring layers provide support while the foam ones add comfort. The memory foam layer on top molds to the shape of your body and is highly resilient.
