7Practical Filler Strip Tips
Scribe before final fastening: shim and level the cabinets first, then mark the filler from the actual wall. The calculated cut width gives you the starting rip, not the final hand-fit edge.
Protect door movement: when the filler sits beside a wall, appliance, or inside corner, compare the visible filler with the handle clearance. A pretty narrow strip can still block a drawer or door.
