Measure the cover, not the old fill. Old beads shrink and flatten, so use the fabric cover dimensions and apply firmness plus compression allowances.
Pour in stages. Add about 80% of the calculated fill first, sit-test the beanbag, then add more until the seams look supported without being strained.
