Rear rod is tight

Increase rear projection first when sheers rub trim, blinds, or a window crank. A deeper front rod cannot fix a rear-layer collision.

Front panels rub sheers

Add rod-to-rod gap, reduce bulky rings, or choose a deeper double bracket so the front folds clear the rear layer.

Side room is limited

Short finials, plain end caps, or a return rod can preserve stack-back when the window sits near a corner or wardrobe.

💡Measurement notes
Measure from the finished wall. Projection should start at the painted wall surface, not at the outer edge of trim or the curtain fabric.
Mock the deepest point. Hold a ruler out from the wall at the rear rod center and confirm the blind, trim, crank, and sheer fold all clear.
Check both layers moving. Open and close the rear sheer while the front curtain is stacked so folds do not catch each other.
Use the smaller side wall. If one side is near a corner, that side controls finial length, stack-back, and total rod span.
