💡 Practical tips
When you choose the length of curtains, usually the goal is reach nice rich look. Always use the longest possible length, because it will look surprisingly. Skip too short curtains.
They look best when they extend until the floor and almost touch it. Like this you create effect, that the walls and ceiling seems higher. Curtains ideal in floor length.
How to Pick the Right Curtain Length
When that is possible not, blinds can serve as option.
Are several ways hang curtains almost until the floor. In floor length they can end in quarter of inch above the floor. They can also touch the floor or lie in one inch on it, or even flow freely.
For pure elegant look use 84-inch length, to skip puddle. If you have curtains and drapes, think about the length of both. With whole curtains and drapes, do the sheer curtains 0.5 to 1 inch shorter than the drapes.
That helps everything hang freely without bunching. If the sheer curtains are likewise long, do them one inch shorter than the panels.
Measuring is key step. Lay the measure in the top edge or inside corner of the window frame. When the place of the pole already knows, measure of the height of the pole straight down until the wanted length.
Sometimes you measure of the center of the window frame down until the top edge of the window shelf. Hang the pole as maybe most high, in 6 to 8 inches under the ceiling, that usually gives the best result. For casual style, 98-inch length is perfect, when you hang above the window.
Also 84 1/4-inch length works well for hanging above window.
Certain cases require adjustments. At baseboard heat or AC unit, bottom-up shades usually work more. Sheer curtains should not cover hydronic baseboard heat.
Too long curtains can need iron. Many think that 84-inch length looks much more good than 63-inch. Practicality matters also, because curtains until the floor can get dirty or wear on the bottom edge.
One pole through the whole room is the best way. At wide windows, you can sew several panels.
