Vinyl plank colors vary slightly between production runs. Always purchase all boxes needed from the same dye lot number. Keep 1–2 extra boxes for future repairs — you may not find a matching lot later.
For L-shaped or irregular rooms, divide the space into separate rectangles, calculate each individually, then add the totals together before adding your waste percentage. Do not apply waste to each section separately.
Fancy Vinyl Plank Flooring. Or LVP, as people commonly call them, simply copy the look and the feel of real wood, without the high price or the constant issues. They give you a wooden look while staying kind to the wallet and simpler to take care of.
The floors are made up of thick layers that lock by means of tongue-and-groove system, what makes them very stable after they are set in place.
Why Choose Vinyl Plank Flooring
In different kinds one finds three main types: click, stuck down and freely resting. Click vinyl (also called SPC or WPC) works like floating Flooring, think of it as vinyl sister of the plank Flooring. Stuck vinyl sets itself directly to the subfloor.
There also exists the freely resting kind, that sells as standing alone, although usually people commonly stick it down to stop motion.
Here what really draws the folks: the most many Vinyl Plank choices are fully resistant against water. It makes them really great for damp places like kitchens, bathrooms and basement floors. Spills and moisture?
They protect against that without any problem. Another plus is, that they are strong aganist dents and very kind to pets, what matters a lot, if you have active kids or four-legged friends, that run around. Dog scratches and cat claws usually do not leave traces on good LVP.
Setting up is really surprisingly simple. The main stage includes to prepare your subfloor, lay the floors and set everything well. Many vinyl types can be laid quickly over already existing floors with little preparation.
When your present Flooring is quite flat, the floors simply rest up well. But if there are bumps or dips, then you will have too first add underlayment; otherwise the vinyl will take all flaws from below.
Care? Very easy. Mostly, dry mops remove almost everything, what you drop on it.
If something sticks, then wet mopping with clean water or a bit of gentle soap clears it quickly. The Flooring almost looks new even after quick wiping.
Vinyl Plank Flooring offers many shades, grains and real textures, that allows you to reach almost any look. Some floors have slight change between one and the next, what adds to the Flooring more natural feel and depth. They stand well against scratches, dents and moisture too.
Stone core vinyl became really liked because of its look and long life. Now people consider the rigid Vinyl Plank the more modern and better choice over WPC. LVP works for homes and shops, thanks to its strength, and thickerfloors usually are the best choice, however the content of that thickness matters a lot.
